Norwegian Arts Abroad/STIKK has recently granted travel support for my participation at the legendary storytelling festival Beyond the Border. The festival has been in existence for an entire generation and celebrates its 25th anniversary at St.Donat’s Castle in Wales this year. The birthday theme of the festival is related to stories from the sea and the Nordic countries.
The days leading up to the festival I will engage with this theme literally and join a sailing boat trip along the coast of South Wales with the children’s show Salty Tales to ports in Cardiff, Barry and Swansea (awaiting final confirmation). During the actual festival, which will take place at and in the area surrounding the medieval castle by the sea, I will both do a solo show and Mobile Dreams as part of the trio 3Troubadours.
