Hvert år rundt vårjevndøgn på den nordre halvkule feires World Storytelling Day med arrangementer og tilstelninger knyttet til muntlig fortellerkunst over hele verden. Hvert år har dagen et tema og i 2014 er det ‘Monsters and Dragons’. I Hellas feires dagen bl.a. med en lengre festival med overskriften Athens – A City of Tales 2014. Jeg er invitert som eneste internasjonale gjest og vil delta med den nye engelskspråklige forestillingen Here Be Dragons.
Opptredenen er støttet av den norske ambassaden i Hellas og UD/DTS.

Here Be Dragons
In the Middle Ages, cartographers would populate the uncharted areas of a map with dragons, manticores and other weird beasts. At the outskirts of the known lies fear of the unknown. Here Be Dragons combines old legends and concepts about dragons and monsters with an imaginative exploration of timeless issues like xenophobia, wall-building and division.

Every year at spring equinox (for the Northern hemisphere) World Storytelling Day is celebrated with storytelling performances and events all over the globe. Every year there’s a specific theme and in 2014 the theme is ‘Monsters and Dragons’. In Greece the celebration of this day includes a festival by the name of Athens – A City of Tales 2014. I am invited as an international guest and will participate with the new English performance Here Be Dragons.
The show is supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Greece and UD/DTS.
